Tillandsia tenuifolia is a widespread and variable species from the West Indies to Bolivia and Argentina. It is a forest dwelling species and its green leaves as opposed to silver leaves indicates that it grows in more dappled light conditions or bright indirect light.
It is a very easy species to grow and a reliable flowerer, it flowers for me in early spring. It quickly makes multi flowering clumps. It likes plenty of regular wetting and protection from full mid day summer sun. It is suitable for terrarium growing.
This is a light green form that has very colorful and large flower spikes.
