Tillandsia minutiflora the worlds smallest Bromeliad. The worlds largest being Puya raimondii, a giant terrestrial Bromeliad. T minutiflora used to be known as bryioides and is not to be confused with pedicellata which has a peduncle or flower stem, as opposed to minutiflora which has not, or is sessile.
It is a member of the diaphoranthema subgenus of Tillandsia which contains many very nice and interesting species including many small growing species such as usneoides, loliaceae, capillaris and aizoides.
It makes a wonderful addition to any plant collection. Easy to grow with medium light levels, plenty of regular misting and good air movement.
