Tillandsia ehlersiana named after famous Bromeliad collectors Renate and Klaus Ehlers of Stuttgart, Germany by Prof. Werner Rauh. This is a very attractive species with silver leaves covered in tiny hairs, it has a very interesting shape with a bulbous base and curving leaves. When flowering if grown in bright lighyt the plant can blush a lovely rose/pink color the flower spike is branched and the flowers are dark purple.
This species can make stunning large specimens and can clump well.
This plants likes bright light, full sun if acclimatized and good air-movement to facilitate quick drying.
