Im very pleased to offer this interesting variety of this species. The latifolia Tillandsia's grow along the coast often in the sand dunes making great stands along the beaches. Our uk equivalent would be the marram grass that helps form the dunes. There are many forms of latifolia though botanists only recognize about four. Most T. latifolia's are viviperous meaning that they pup (vegetative offset/growth) along the flower spike. This is an evolutionary trait that enables the plants to move up and grow ahead of the shifting sands. Laifolia Enano is a great form. It has dark leaves, and the flower spike (which often just turns into a pup without flowering) is a nice red and as the rest of the plant, covered in trichomes.
