Aechmea orlandiana 'Bert' is a cultivar of the cross between A. fosteriana and orlandiana. Introduced by M. B. Foster in 1945 and named after his son. The plant has great markings grows very large, has a striking inflorescence, and can color up during its flowering stages if grown in strong enough light. These Aechmea orlandiana hybrids are crying out to be mounted on a nice piece of cork or tree fern. Ive saw fantastic specimens growing on palms and trees in gardens in Florida on my latest trip. Photos to come in my blog section.

Here you will receive one single pup/rosette, ready to be potted or mounted.

'Bert'

Amazing looking plant, the dark marks on the underside of the leaves are raised, which gives it a very tactile feel. Once again a lovely large plant sent, well packaged. A++
