Neoregelia 'Chinese Lacquer' is an interesting Neoregelia smallish hybrid from Hawaii, registered in 2011. It is a hybrid between N. pauciflora Yellow and N. 'Fireball. It forms flaring, glossy, dark red rosettes with a fine green edge to each leaf. It is a good clumping plant.

Neoregelia's are very easy to grow they can be mounted with some moss and bark to root into or they can be grown in a pot, which i prefer to do as it allows for easy maintanance of the plant. The correct potting medium for most 'tank type' Bromeliads such as Aechmea, Billbergia and Neoregelia is a free draining mix comprising of Peat and potting/orchid bark.

Neoregelias can be grown in high light levels, in fact the more bright light you give them the more intense the coloring on the leaves can become. Although you have to be careful because plants can get scorched in full mid summer sun.

Here is one small offset, sent bare root.

Neoregelia 'Chinese Lacquer'

This offset arrived in excellent condition and looks super healthy! The photos don't do it justice as it looks amazing in person (especially in the sunlight). The packaging was top notch - I would definitely recommend ordering if you're interested.
