Aechmea nudicaulis is a fantastic and easy to grow 'tank type' Bromeliad native to central and northern South America. It grows on rocks and on trees and so in cultivation lends itself to being potted or mounted. You can allways spot Aechmea nudicaulis varieties and hybrids because the leaves are naturaly crinkled and indented in places. This species also has stolons which can travel a few inches from the parent rosette.
This is a very colorful plant, with green and cream colored leaves and big deep purple splotches. The flower spike is equally colorful with bright red stem and bracts and vivid yellow flowers.
I will occasionaly have one or two pups of this available.
Here is a good sized pup/offset. Pot, compost and hanger available separately.
