Aechmea recurvata 'Orange' x 'Brejos'. These have been grown from seed that was gifted to me from a grower in Portugal. They have made lovely strong plants. I have not grown this plant to flowering stage yet. But im excited to see how they colour up. 

At the moment I have two small pups of this available. Sent bare root.

My, oh my, oh my.

Well so the order is in, then I just have to wait for the big day. The day arrives, I recognise that box. Yes and sure enough, it's from Andy. Even the cat is waiting with great anticipation for the box to empty so to get in with all that tissue! I open the box, stunned I close it again. Are my eyes deceiving me? I open it again. No they weren't. Within is an Aechmea recurvata 'Orange' x 'Brejos' in all it's glory. A truly stunning plant. Magnificent purple colouring of the leaves to the inflorescence the colour of which defeats me. Could it be described as orange or maybe crimson, I know not, but whatever, it's certainly very attractive. Thank you very much Andy, from one very happy Michael and one very happy cat!
