The Deuterocohnia's are a lovely genus of about 12 to 15 species of terrestrial or liphophytic (rock growing) Bromeliads. They range from small mat forming plants such as this one (D. brevifolia) with sessile flowers (no flower stalk) to larger plants with thick leaves and flowers on stems.
This species makes a fantastic mound forming pot plant as you can see in my photo with my two pet beetles.
These are newly potted sections in 7cm pots.
