Neoregelia 'Iphiegenie' is a particularly nice Neo. One of my favorites. It has very nice green and white banding and colors up really nice, pink and red with red spots.
I have a few 'pups' of this for sale. These are not full size plants but are ready to be potted up or mounted on reciept.
Neoregelia's are very easy to grow they can be mounted with some moss and bark to root into or they can be grown in a pot, which i prefer to do as it allows for easy maintanance of the plant. The correct potting medium for most 'tank type' Bromeliads such as Aechmea, Billbergia and Neoregelia is a free draining mix comprising of Peat and potting/orchid bark.
Neoregelias can be grown in high light levels, in fact the more bright light you give them the more intense the coloring on the leaves can become. Although you have to be careful because plants can get scorched in full mid summer sun. Generally more stiff, thick or harder leaved species can take the full sun and softer leaves less so.
beautifully packaged, like a gift.
healthy, good sized plant, its a month later and it's looking good, not damaged in transit despite cold January weather.
looking forward to more plants being put on Andy's website...
I will be buying again...
Bought this Neoregelia for the colour and it hasn't disappointed. Despite the short December days it's glowing pink a couple feet from a large SE-facing window.
