Tillandsia jionesii is a 2008 newly described species from Brazil. It has wonderfull dark purple leaves, red flower spikes and deep blue/purple flowers that open to reveal  the yellow pollen inside. the plant is similar in apperance to T. aeranthos.

This is a very rarely offered species. Otherwise easy to grow with bright light and regular misting.

These are small plants available.

Best ever Air Plants

Only had my plants for 2 weeks on one has flowered already.

Stunning Flowers

The plant were dispatched with a flowering spike and buds ready to open . It was large size and looked very healthy, the flowers opened into the most amazing display. Can’t wait for the summer now to see if the plant gets a bronze hue.
