Tillandsia mallemontii is a highlt scented species from the Brazilian rainforests where it grows on Trees an scrub from 0 to 1000m above sea level.

Tillandsia mallemonti is similar in appearance to T. recurvata with thin whispy foliage. However when mallemontii flowers you will not be mistaken. the flowers are a delightful purple color and the scent is one of the most delicious of all the Tillandsia's.

Tillandsia mallemonotii is easy to grow, requiring bright light with protection from hot sun. It likes a very regular wetting with quick drying. The plant lends itself to being hung from wire but can also be mounted.

I have some very nice near flowering size clumps that are already hung on wire.

Real show piece plant when in flower

Beautiful healthy generous sized plant. Now hanging with other Andy airplants in kitchen window (Window space rapidly running out!). previous mallemontii from Andy flowered profusely last year. Still going strong and looks as if this mallemontii ready to bloom the same. Thanks Andy for such consistently healthy beautiful plants and excellent service

Such Interesting Plants

I received three different airplants, as ordered, and a fourth specimen for free. That was a very nice gesture. The plants were carefully packaged and shipped and arrived in great shape, with clear instructions for caring. I have mounted them and now eagerly follow their development.
