Tillandsia paleacea ssp appurimacensis is a sub-species of T. paleacea.
It is named after the region Apurimac in Peru where it is found growing towards the sea in coastal deserts. It has soft furry, silver leaves and produces a flower spike with lovely scented, purple flowers. This species is slow growing but easy to keep in high light levels or full sun with regular misting and good air-movement.
As always from Andy great quality plants, love this little guy, came with a flower spike and some lovely colour, also came suspended from wire so easy to hang from one of my chilli plants on the windowsill for full sun. Thx Andy.
