Tillandsia tenuifolia var. minima is a widespread and variable species from the West Indies to Bolivia and Argentina. It is a forest dwelling species and its green leaves as opposed to silver leaves indicates that it grows in more dappled light conditions or bright indirect light.
It is a very easy species to grow and flower, and quickly makes multi flowering clumps. It likes plenty of regular wetting and protection from full mid day summer sun.
Tillandsia tenuifolia var. minima is a miniature variety of the species.
