Tillandsia vicentina is a wonderful, large growing Tillandsia species. The plant is named after its type locality The Volcano of San Salvador. The plant is native to Central America from Mexico to Peru. This is a high altitude plant 1500 to 3000 meters above sea level where it can be found growing on trees and scrub.
I have only a few pups of this available, similar to the one in the first picture.
Tillandsia vicentina is relatively easy to grow, it prefers cooler more humid conditions, it can take bright light. It likes to root onto a mount with added medium or tree fern. It grows very well in a pot with potting bark. Pot compost and hangers are available separately.
