Here is the wonderful Tillandsia secunda. This species is popular among bromeliad growers because it is easy to grow and makes a very large plant that has a really nice flower spike that also produces pups on the spent stem. This is a phenomenom called vivipary (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vivipary).
Hello to all Air Plant and Bromeliad fans. Andy's Air Plants has recently moved websites from worpress to shopify. I hope this makes for smoother and more appealing shopping experience for all my customers.
This was my second RHS show and i was very leased to get the Best in Show award for my exhibit of epiphytic and terrestrial Bromeliads. I had been to the RHS Malvern spring show a few times before, working for Chris of Kelnan Plants.
The Royal Cornwall Show is another County show meaning all the fun of the farm and countryside and everything associated with it is on display. It's my local County show and an absolute joy to attend. This was my 3rd attendance at this show and I'm very pleased to say I got my second Large Gold Medal of the year for my Andy's Air Plants display.
I was really pleased with my exhibit and put a lot of work into it using some really wonderful plants from my collection. The display was received really well by the RHS Judges as well as the public. I was awarded a Gold Medal with top marks. My 3rd RHS Medal and 3rd Gold.
